Ultrasonic welding is an industrial technique whereby high frequency ultrasonic acoustic vibrations are locally applied to workpieces being held together under pressure to creat a solid-state weld. It is commonly used for plastics, however, ultrasonic-welding techniques can also be used to weld mesh, cut mesh into different shapes and weld mesh into tubes.
Compared with heat slitting, welding techniques, ultrasonic-welding techniques are better in the welding with clean edges. And by using ultrasonic-welding technique, we are capable of achieving endless welded mesh tubes, which can be cut into different width automatically without extra labor. These mesh tubes are widely used to do insert-molding plastic filters for liquid filtration and dust collection.
